I think of this album as a demo. I had plans to keep working on these songs and "perfecting" them, but I feel like I have no idea how many days any of us have left. This album began with late night music sessions filled with tears, processing my personal loss and grief. As the work on the songs progressed, COVID-19 spread around the globe, and my grief expanded to include grief for so many people around the world. From a moment on a grey beach processing my own trauma, these songs became a way for me to share feelings about our collective trauma. Still, in these songs I hope you hear the hope and moments of love shine through the narrow places.
