I think of this album as a demo. I had plans to keep working on these songs, "perfecting" them, but I have no idea how many days any of us have left, so I'm releasing them. The album began with late night sessions with tears and my guitar, as I processed personal loss and grief. As I continued working on the songs, COVID-19 spread around the globe. What began with a moment on a grey beach processing my personal trauma expanded to a way to process collective traumas from both COVID-19 and climate change. I hope that you can hear the moments of hope and love shining through the narrow places, and that our lives after this pandemic are filled with many more years of singing and dancing.
